Overhead Magnets
Choose among self-cleaning and economy versions of overhead magnets to automatically remove larger quantities of ferrous metals from most conveyors, chutes and vibratory feeders. Self-cleaning models are available with electric or hydraulic power and with inline or cross belts (up to 72") and include gear drive motor. Other types are available, such as a tilting version which uses a winch to raise the magnet for easy cleaning. |

These magnets are designed for high volume tramp iron removal and self-cleaning operation with less downtime. Another permanent magnetic solution from Magnetic Specialties, the only power required is to run the electric motor that turns the belt. Material is deposited to the side for easy removal. Concrete, wood chips, recycling facilities, and a wide range of end users can benefit from the superior quality of these cross belts. Very little maintenance costs involved versus comparable electro-magnets.

Magnetic Drums
Efficiently and continuously removes both large and small ferrous contamination from a wide variety of materials, especially granular or pulverized materials conveyed in closed chutes or spouts (aggregate, chemicals, plastics, food, grain, sand, minerals, etc.). Works by revolving around permanent magnets which draw out and discharge tramp iron. Available in various capacities either housed or drum only. |

Magnetic drums are designed to continuously remove ferrous fragments from grain, feedstuffs, foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics, and other granular materials. The magnetic drum is manufactured with cleats to aid on pulling tramp metal through and out of the magnetic field. Drums are available in both ceramic and rare earth neodymium models. Drums are affective in removing tramp metal such as chips, nuts and bolts. Neodymium units are recommended for applications involving extremely small metal fines, slightly magnetic materials, and/or high product flow rates. Housed drums can be used with wet or moist materials.

Replaces head pulleys in new or existing belt conveyor systems for continuous removal of tram iron from wet or dry materials (sand, grain, slag, coal, plastics, etc.) Available in various sizes for conveyors up to 72" and light to heavy loads. Self-Cleaning: ferrous material falls from pulley after good material is collected. |

Magnetic Grates

Provides exclusive continuous, uninterrupted magnetic field over entire surface. Available as single components or to retrofit existing systems. Industrial food grade construction. |

General purpose grate magnets capture tramp metal and ferrous fragments from dry, free flowing materials conveyed by gravity. They provide a properly oriented, high density magnetic field which creates a complete magnetic net to trap contamination. Items such as nuts and bolts are held firmly in place to prevent costly damage to processing equipment. High strength rare earth grates are also available.
